Summer is almost here and SSC is celebrating with a Fun Race and Raft Up this Saturday, 6/20. To maintain social distancing, there will not be a skipper’s meeting. Instead, racers should turn their radio to channel 69 to check in for the race and ask any questions starting at 12:30pm.
The start line for the course will be an imaginary line between the tip of goat island and the radio tower by Hawthorn. Racers should have their sails up and ready to cross the start line starting at 1pm. The fleet will sail to Blue Creek over by the home of Jeff & Sandy Mullins. The first boat to arrive should take a photo of the shoreline and either send to the SSC Race group chat or to Michelle Dial.
Afterwards, we will likely raft up in Twin Mounds but keep your radio on in case a location change is needed. The skipper of each boat who joins us for the fun race will receive a participation prize so be sure to check in via the radio by 12:45pm. #raiseyoursails #summersailstice #spindriftsailingclub
